Work Principle of HID Xenon Lamp HID, complete appellation is High Intensity Discharge，mainly composed by HID lamps, ballasts, power supply adaptable wiring and accessories. The HID lamp tube is filled with various kinds of chemical gas; among them mostly are noble gases, such as xenon and iodide etc. The ballast will generate voltage of vehicle from 12V to 23 KV during the instant of turning on power, which makes xenon blaze strong light between tow poles and reach high lightness. Characteristics of HID Xenon Lamp 1. Security Unique special safe designed electric circuit of this product: short circuit protective device, no-loading protective measures, inversing pressure protective device, and hi-tech core plate control. It has greatly enhanced the security of vehicle itself. 2. High Lightness HID Xenon Lamp can output 3300 luminous flux, while common halogen lamp only can output 1000 luminous flux. Its luminous flux is 3 times than present most excellent 55W halogen vehicle lamp. 3. High Color Temperature The color temperature of halogen lamp can reach 3000K in application of products, so the light appears yellow. However, HID Xenon Lamp can provide lamplight of 4300K-12000K. 4. Long Useful Life HID Xenon Lamp has no filament; useful life may be 3000 hours, over 10 times than ordinary lamp. 5. Low Cost The power of ordinary halogen lamp is 55/60W. However, the power of HID Xenon Lamp is 35W, greatly lightens the burden of electric power system and saves electric energy.
